Location
I took this photo in my lounge, using only natural light - hand held.Time
It was early evening, around nine o'clock. I grabbed the camera because she looked so relaxed.Lighting
Shooting a lot of gigs, I'm used to shooting in low light, so I turned the ISO up to 2000. Although this only gave me 1/30 second the image stabiliser in the lens helped me get a great image.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon 60D, with a Canon EF-S 17-85mm f3.6/5.6Inspiration
When we got the kittens three months before, I was struck by her beautiful markings. I wanted to capture her sweet nature and when I saw her on the sofa in the living room, I grabbed my camera and crouched in front of her. However, I did not want to disturb her so I put the lens on the long end - 81mm ~130mm on the APC sensor.Editing
I always shoot in RAW and use Aperture 3 to process the images. This images is pretty much straight out of the camera. In my camera bag
I always take both my Canon EF 24-70 L f2.8 zoom and my Canon EF 70-200 L f4.0 lens. Along with that I have the Canon EOS 60D, with battery grip and two batteries. Finally five 16GB SanDisk Pro SD cards - when I shoot festivals I like to use at least one card a day.Feedback
Reacting quickly to situations and making sure your camera is alway ready to go.
