Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in a town near my homeland: Palermo, in Sicily! The name of the town is Misilmeri. It is a really nice region to visit, in fact I was there during one of my excursions with my traveling companions!

Time

The photo was taken at noon, with the sun high in the sky!

Lighting

Despite the beautiful sunlight reflected on these ancient ruins, I decided to make it more mysterious and highlight the city that extended over the landscape and highlighting the vivid colors of it!

Equipment

This was shot on a Sony DSC-HX300 and in fact has a fixed camera lens (with optical zoom 50x) 1/640 sec. f/3,2 8,22 mm ISO 80 without flash

Inspiration

I think what inspired me most to take this picture was the landscape and the beauty of the colors that this town has!

Editing

As changes I used only a black and white effect made available on Photoshop and I took the vivid colors of the city on the panorama! I raised the brightness a little and increased the contrast!

In my camera bag

In this case I only had my Sony with me, a tripod (which I didn't use in this case to take the photo) and any spare batteries

Feedback

One piece of advice I would like to give is to give importance to the light and when the picture is taken, otherwise the beauty of the colors will be damped!
