Grandfather Mountain in NC holds a Nature Photography Weekend, every June (space is limited). Photos have to be taken within a 24 hr block of time, and submitted by Sat afternoon. There are 4 categories, but a limit of 3 entries total, could be made. Winners are announced Sunday morning. I choose to spend a good bit of time just waiting for the bears to do something interesting. This bear's is Kodiak, and he liked to take a dip after dinner. As a first time attender, I didn't expect much, so when my photo went up on the wall, I kept asking my friend, what's it doing up there. She had to tell me it won first place.
