Behind The Lens
Location
I took this photo at Sunda Kelapa, Jakarta. An old fisherman/ferryman was showing me the old port in his little motorboat and I took the opportunity to take a photo of his weathered hands.Time
This was taken in the late morning.Lighting
It was an uncommonly bright day in Jakarta creating more contrast. The light in Jakarta is typically filtered through a layer of smog that usually lead to cry soft, even lighting.Equipment
This was taken with a Fuji X-Pro1 using a Fujinon XF 23mm f1.4 lens.Inspiration
While looking out of the ferry I wasn't seeing too much inspiration so decided to turn the camera on my interesting companion.Editing
There was a little cropping and some minor adjustments made in lightroomIn my camera bag
I normally carry my Fuji XPro-1 and a couple of lenses. I also sometimes carry my Nikon FE loaded with Tri-X film. If I'm feeling in the mood I might swap that out for my Rolleiflex 2.8c with Schneider Xenotar and Tri-X or HP5.Feedback
Not really, just keep an open mind when shooting and look close, medium and far.
