Location
I made this photo on our way to Chandrataal/Moon Lake in Spiti region of Himachal Pradesh, India.Time
Afternoon, around 4.Lighting
When we arrived at our base camp at 2 it was dark and cloudy. I can't miss out, it was raining too. Yet we ventured out to hike up to a hill and then descend to a lake. And we were baffled to see the blue sky. Nature never ceases to amaze and surprise us, right?Equipment
Canon EOS 7D, Canon EF-S 10-22mm.Inspiration
The mountain flowers of the Himalayas stood out from the pale green leaves and the path subtly leads the viewer's eyes to the far away lake.Editing
Yes, basic colour corrections and added some clarity to bring out the details and to make the photo look little crisp. Everything is done in LightroomIn my camera bag
Canon EOS 7D, Canon 10-22mm EF-S, Canon 24-70mm f/4L, Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L, Haida 10 stop ND filter, Manfrotto 290 Xtra with ball head.Feedback
Connecting with nature is the most important thing for a photographer. In my opinion, getting to a location, taking out the camera and shooting a million pictures doesn't make much sense. Instead, by taking it slow and observing the minute details one can make better photographs. Cheers and happy clicking.
