Location
I took this photo in South Jacksonville, Illinois while working at the Holiday Inn Express. I stepped outside to look at the storm rolling in. I was facing west.Time
Between 3-5pmLighting
Since the lighting was changing consistently due to the storm rolling in during the late afternoon suns' path across the sky, I shot this in manual mode to adjust the settings accordingly.Equipment
SM - G930A Aperture - 170/100 ISO - 50 Exposure - 1/2160 Other minor adjustments in the manual settings of the camera app.Inspiration
I was stuck at work, all I could do to see the storm rolling in was to step outside briefly and catch whatever view was available to me. There were a few like-minded guests that told me they were leaving to chase the tornado that had touched down outside of town. That's all the motivation I needed to briefly step away from my job to pursue a passion.Editing
No post-processingIn my camera bag
Due to a biking accident that destroyed my Nikon D40 and 3 lenses, I only have my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.Feedback
Work with what you got. Get comfortable with how each setting affects a shot. Life will give and take away many opportunities. You're ability to adjust to those oppertunities will require diligence, and it's your willingness to work that will define you and your work.
