I chose this as the winner of my "Emotions" challenge. I wasn't looking for any specific type of emotion, just simply an image that moved me. I don't know the subject's situation but the entire image made me want to know more. Is this a defeated position against the wall? Has she just received devastating news? I could go on and on about this image and never know the truth which made it the most intriguing.

Thank you for entering and for this amazing image.

Thank you so much, Squig :-D I love that the viewer has to make their own story. Its sort of 2 pics connected, and the other one gives a bigger picture. And thank you for all the likes and peer-awards. :-)

If it's true, not a composition, very sad.

Behind The Lens

Location

The photo is taken in an abandoned industry-area, where the youth has been painting grafitti all over the place.

Time

We choose to shoot the photo, amongst others.... about 2 hours before sunset. The light is soft and nicer at that time.

Lighting

All naturel light and worked on light/shades in Ps

Equipment

My camera Canon 60D, and my favorite 55-250 mm lens.

Inspiration

I just wanted to do something else. I have done a lot of fashion/beauty-shots, and it was getting a bit boring, so Ii wanted to make people stop, think, and wonder what is going on in this picture.

Editing

Yep, I used both Lr and Ps

In my camera bag

My camera, my 55-250 mm, a 50 mm, a wide-angle and a macro. And i always bring a reflector.

Feedback

Know your model well, to make it look realistic.
