On the 4th of July I was honored to watch the fireworks display in Roanoke, IN. What a joy to be surrounded by patriots (who stood and took off their hats when the national anthem was played), families playing frisbee and kids throwing a football. There was none of the cynicism so often found in the DC area. It was a celebration of a great country by people who love their country. The way it should be!
