A small, unleashed, yappy dog looked like it would be this animal's next meal at a refuge center in South Padre Island, Texas. Fortunately for the dog's owner, someone alerted him to this possibility so no meal for the reptile, but still a small, VERY yappy, but leashed dog. Nothing like bringing such an animal to a place where many photographers were trying to photograph wildlife in their natural settings. Some people have no common sense.
