Behind The Lens

Location

This photograph was taken at Kensington Metro Park. A lovely park located in Milford, MI full of woodland creatures, birds, and amazing views.

Time

I took this photograph during a warm Summer afternoon. We had been hiking for most of the morning and we stopped to take a break and came across this photogenic fellow.

Lighting

The sun was shining through the trees and the lights and shadows worked perfectly, sometimes everything lines up and you don't have to do much to get your shot.

Equipment

I actually used the camera on my phone to capture this. The phone takes great pictures!

Inspiration

It's not very often that you find yourself standing right next to a crane, so when that opportunity came I was ready.

Editing

There was no post processing with this photo. I took it and later posted it.

In my camera bag

Camera, several lenses, batteries, battery charger, and a first aid kit just in case I get to close to a subject and they aren't friendly.

Feedback

To capture wild life shots it's always best to be still, yet act like you belong in their environment...in others words be one with nature.
