Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at the Toronto Zoo in Toronto Ontario.

Time

It was early afternoon and the penguins were just getting out of the water after a fun little swim.

Lighting

I wanted to take a nature shot in natural lighting. And this is what came of that shot.

Equipment

This was shot with camera in hand, no tripod or flash were used. The camera used was a Sony DSC-HX300

Inspiration

I've always loved penguins and this little guy was calling to me to take his picture.

Editing

There was no post-processing done to this photo. This is all natural.

In my camera bag

I normally have my DSC-HX3000 and a Nikon D5200

Feedback

My advice for capturing a spontaneous picture such as this one is to keep shooting. I love the in the moment style photos and multiple snaps will bound to get you that 'in the moment' shot.
