AfternoonLighting
It was a pretty hot, humid day. Bright sunshine-outdoors.Equipment
Canon 70D. 55-250mm lens. Handheld. No flashInspiration
I'm not a people photographer. I usually photograph wildlife and landscapes, but I'm always looking for new places and things to shoot. I came across an ad for the festival, which is a pretty unique event in my area. I decided at one point to concentrate on the faces of the participants.Editing
Yes. I liked the original color image, except for the over exposed sky. I felt it was still a strong image, so converted it to B&W. Some sharpening, contrast and dropping the saturation. In my camera bag
Canon 70D. Canon 100-400mm, 55-250mm telephoto, 28mm wide angle and my Sigma 105mm macro.Feedback
Beware of your backgrounds. Look for unique facial expressions. Fill the frame with your subject. Shoot what catches your eye!
