Great positioning of a group capture. Nature loves your camera.

Behind The Lens

Location

Palm Coast, Florida Stopped my car on the side of the road, jumped out with my camera and started shooting.

Time

3:00pm

Lighting

The sun was high in the sky on a warm summer day.

Equipment

Nikon D5300 with a 300mm zoom lens freehand

Inspiration

The birds themselves were so freely eating on the side of the road. They are a large breed of bird that can be intimidating at 15-20 feet away. As you can see the 1st bird in the forefront was frilling his neck feathers as if to say "Stand Back"....which I happily did once I got that shot.

Editing

My editing skills & photography knowlege are of an amateur level. I'm hoping to learn more at the Palm Coast Photography Club & Saint Augustine Camera Club.

In my camera bag

Just a Nikon D5300 with 300mm zoom and a 50-70mm lens

Feedback

Be nice and quiet...these Sand Hill Cranes don't like company especially when offspring are with them. But they posed perfectly for a split second.
