I love photographing wishies... and this is a great perspective! I caught a big one in Dillon, Colorado in 2011. Fun stuff...

Behind The Lens

Location

Centenial Parklands, Sydney

Time

The 'golden hour' of the afternoon, summertime approx. 5.30pm

Lighting

I waited for the light to go that golden glow and lay on my stomach in a slight hill so I was under the dandelion, shooting into the sun.

Equipment

Canon 600d Lens: Tamron 18-135mm Flash: no

Inspiration

Someone else's dandelion photos, I thought I would give this a go. It's a weed, but looks so beautiful and delicate.

Editing

No.

In my camera bag

Now I have a canon 6D and generally have canon 24-105mm on it for walk round lens, while carrying Tamron 70-200mm to swap out for a bigger Zoom ( portraiture as well) I have a new canon 70D I am getting used to and use the same lenses. I swap these two lenes for a canon 50mm 2.8f for occasional percific portraiture and canon16-35mm wide angle for landscapes ( haven't used this much at all)

Feedback

If you can't get the angle you like, pick the danelion and put it on a stick to hold in front of your camera, or place it in the ground in a more desirable position. You can crop/photoshop any undesired parts out later.
