I adore this image as one of my best flower photos. The colour of the flower just seemed to blend together perfectly and disappear into one another in the light. All the material was there, all I did was take the shot.

I especially love all the flowing lines in this!

Behind The Lens

Location

In my own neighbourhood I think. Just an ordinary day out with my camera in hand. Nice day, nice photo.

Time

I believe it was early morning. I like to go for an early morning walk everyday as there is less noise and less pedestrian traffic. My camera goes with me wherever I go on principal. Anything interesting I see, it sees to.

Lighting

Not much, just Earth's own natural light; the sun.

Equipment

Just my camera in hand. I own a FUJIFILM, a beginners model since I haven't been doing this for very long. Its not a very strong camera, but its not the equipment that makes the photo; its you.

Inspiration

It was there.

Editing

I cropped the outside excess, as I knew it would make a better photograph if only the flower was in view. I love the way the colours blend and the petals look as though they are melting into each other. Nice rose. Very different from most I've seen.

In my camera bag

Just my camera. I don't own anything else, as I am a beginner, though I would love to be able to invest in some serious equipment, as I adore macro photography and know that in order to get great macro pics, you unfortunately need to spend upwards of £500 on camera equipment and lenses. But as I said, I am doing a pretty good job with my current beginners camera for now.

Feedback

Make sure you've got nice natural lighting if you're going for a natural pic. Can't really say much else. Did I mention I am a beginner? Thought so. =)
