Behind The Lens

Location

this photo was taken by me in a Norman Arab castle where an archaeological part is located inside, this was the party room, the detachment was made natural, one of my first photos, on portrait shooting. in this photo I wanted to capture the simplicity and feminine beauty.

Time

the exact day of the photo I don't remember but I remember that we were in July 2014, probably the light that was there inside the room, natural light, allowed to achieve the balance of the shadows and lights, for portraiture

Lighting

I think that natural light has made its true art, because the photo has had a balance on the colors and on the lights and shadows fundamental for different my works, moreover its beauty is due to the fact that it was taken with simplicity and naturalness, it was my first shot on portraiture, I still remember how it was today, the emotion of that moment, as if something really important was being born, yes my black and white photo.

Equipment

I used, the Nikon d3s camera with the 70-200 mm I don't remember the aperture.

Inspiration

what inspired me the photo, the subject that was in a spontaneous move, has not been studied, but the whole context has made its creation, giving emphasis to the photo and also to the subject.

Editing

how this photo inspired me, the beauty of the model, but also the sober and elegant place.

In my camera bag

in my bag I have my nikon d3s camera with different lenses, the 24-70 mm that I use for landscape and the 70-200mm I would say excellent for portraiture - its sled flash and different panels especially if I find myself contrasting the sunlight using color games for photos

Feedback

to create a shot that you really like, when it comes to portraiture you need the light that is best suited when it is natural light, because the photos are able to have a great charm, and contain the real beauty of the photo itself, therefore the right position of the saturation of the 'complexion that maybe it can be fixed a little in post production but better if the gradation of the light is already the right one so in post production you work less, when instead you make the photo in black and white, you have to think in black and white black, and understand what we want to achieve and how we want the photo, even on the cut, you can already see it in the viewfinder, behind the lens, you have to create the image before making it, and then take the shot with confidence.
