Location
The photo was taken in the south of Munich at the river Loisach.Time
It was a grey and rainy day, so we tried to get enough light at midday.Lighting
It’s only natural light. The day was grey and this is perfect for shootings, because the light is soft and smooth. Perfect for Beauty and fantasy photographyEquipment
This was a shot with a Canon EOS 5D Mark III with a EF 70-200mm lens, 1/125 sec. and f/2,8.Inspiration
I usually photograph in a studio. I wanted to try out if it is possible to shoot in nature, with a model that has little on. We discovered a river and when trying different poses, I especially liked the reflection of the model in the water. It was so beautiful.Editing
As always I have taken a lot of time for the skin retouching. I wanted the skin to be very soft and romantic. Close to a beauty. The problem with photos taken in nature is, that often many disturbing elements are present. It took me some time to clean it up. At the end I put a vignette around the center, so that the view really falls on the model and the beautiful reflection. In my camera bag
I usually have my camera (Canon EOS 5D Mark III) in my bag, two or three lenses (the 85mm, a 100mm and a 24 - 105mm), some batteries, a cloth for the lens, a replacement battery for the camera, several memory cards, the transmitter for the studio flash, handkerchiefs and a lip balm :-)Feedback
It's very important to master the basics of photography and lightning. And then for me the most important thing is the model. I not tired of repeating that :-) And then practice, practice, practice. Practicing with Models, practice with light, practice with photo editing. For photos in nature, it is important to find a place where you are relatively undisturbed and it is particularly important to also consider a "soft" light. And then have fun, with the light, with the stylings. Have fun with it. For me photography is a passion :-)
