The western light coming in from my window was creating a glorious, luminous texture through a water bottle on my art desk, a surface where I have progressed in drawing, writing, and painting for years. The countless pencil and eraser marks are left to describe how I was created to create.
As I have marveled at the impact of light in this photograph, God has revealed to me humans' inevitable craving for Light Himself. I find that so beautiful--and absolutely incredible, to be frank--that when we come to Him, God will heal us despite our iniquitous scratches and dark graphite sins. He is the Ultimate Artist, the purest lover of us--His worn masterpieces, longing to come Home.
