Put yourself on the bank and open your senses to the sounds of nature. Listen as the fish as they flop in the distance, watch as the herons fish for their dinner, admire the beautiful coloring in front of you, watch for alligators as they cross the bayou, be amused as you watch the Purple Gallinules balance on the lily pads, watch as the storm is moving in and listen to the thunder. Erase everything that is on your mind and give thanks to the beautiful scenery that is right in front of you.
I took this picture last year(I believe) at Arkansas Post National Memorial. It is probably one of my favorite landscapes to date.
