Behind The Lens

Location

This photograph was taken in the lake district on lake Buttermere.

Time

About 3 in the afternoon in winter

Lighting

The day was generally a cloudy one, so perfect conditions for sunbeams to stand out.

Equipment

Canon EOS 1200D

Inspiration

The landscape was beautiful and the way the sun was shining on the lake just looked spectacular. How could i resist!!

Editing

I used Photoshop to add a sepia filter but on a very low level as well as enhancing the colors using the raw filter editor. I genrally try to edit my photos naturally so they don't look too edited.

In my camera bag

I normally just carry around my canon camera as well as my standard wide angle lens for landscapes and my Tameron long lens for wildlife at 70-300mm.

Feedback

Get out in your car or on foot to visit different places and make sure you have your camera at the ready for spontaneous moments when the sun comes out or indeed any interesting weather patterns.
