Location
Taken on a family holiday in Portugal's Algave. My son taking great pleasure in showing my grandkids his video of them playing in the pool earlier during the day. The look of joy on their faces and the intensity with with they watched themselves was wnoderful.Time
About 6pm in the evening in May sitting in the shade on the patio after a busy day.Lighting
It was taken using the natural light and because we were on the shaded side of the house there were no harsh shadows to worry about. The white of the building also acted as a good all round reflector.Equipment
Nothing fancy. Just a simple Samsung 850 compact camera, handheld. Set on aperture priority at 1/80s and f/3.4, ISO 50, spot metered.Inspiration
Pleasure in seeing my family enjoying themselves together in a simple way and the way they sat to watch the video.Editing
I removed a tap (faucet) from the wall behind the figures and converted to black and white.In my camera bag
One or more of the three cameras O have - Olympus XZ-1, Olympus OMD EM5 and a Panasonic GX8. For the later I have a Lumix 25mm 1.4, 14-140, Olympus 7-14 f2.8.Feedback
Family holidays are a gift for photography but I always try to remember that I am creating an image that will hopefully interest and please others as well as me.
