Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in Manchester under the archway beside the library

Time

It was around mid afternoon.

Lighting

I wanted to catch the shadows that the arch created to add to the leading lines in the photo.

Equipment

This was taken on my sony A58 with a 50mm 1.7 minolta lens

Inspiration

I was looking for ways to frame a subject and the light, shape and the passing subject was the perfect inspiration I needed

Editing

I usually do my post processing on photoshop and vsco cam mobile, however it was very subtle with this shot!

In my camera bag

In my bag I usually keep it simple, just a camera body, and a couple of lenses

Feedback

Be patient, and think creatively. Look for different ways in which to frame a subject and draw the viewers eyes to the areas of the photo that you want them to focus on. Use tone, texture, light and shade to you advantage and be aware of your surroundings.
