Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken in Austin, Texas during a road trip across the States.Time
This was taken at about 3PM when I came back from work and was a little tired but after seeing her face, all the tiredness just blows away! She's a real sweet one!Lighting
The cat had a beautiful eye and I really wanted to emphasize on that. The lighting is natural light and she happened to be under a window so I took the opportunity to press the shutter.Equipment
Canon 70D, handheld. 8-55mm lensInspiration
She was sleeping in a cute position and when she opened her eyes, the colors were reflecting very well from the natural sun light. I thought, I would want a picture if I was her! hahaEditing
For this picture, nothing much!In my camera bag
I usually carry around my Canon 70D with a 50mm lens. I like the prime lens because it is the authentic, old-fashioned, yet beautiful pictures.Feedback
Cats are very hard to work with especially since they move on their schedule and needs. I always try to be patience with them and let them be comfortable with the camera and then wait until the best moment to take a picture. Cats usually get surprised by the shutter sound, so I would wait till the prime moment like this one!
