I took this photo right in our backyard garden a day after the first bloom in spring. Very lucky shot considering I'm a self taught photographer.Time
I love taking photo's of flowers so I try to either get shots early morning or early evening when the sun is low in the sky. This particular photo was took in the morning hours.Lighting
Simple. Natural light, the sun is the best light.Equipment
I used my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H300 with a soft defocus.Inspiration
I was inspired by the all the bright colors that magically appeared after a rain storm in spring, I went to bed to greens in the garden and woke up to a beautiful array of purples, yellows, pinks, and reds.Editing
No post-processing. Only the soft defocused option on my camera. In my camera bag
Well considering I'm somewhat new to the photography world and also a single mom, there's nothing to fancy to mention in bad. I always have my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H300 and my Sony DSC-WX50 which is my small digital camera she's pretty old and been threw some rough trips but she's never done me wrong.Feedback
I guess the first piece of advice I would give is never just take one photo of the object you're shooting, also I would recommend trying shooting early morning or evening on days calm days, like when there's no wind.
