Behind The Lens

Location

Was taken on Keewaydin Island near Naples, Florida.

Time

It was at sunset.

Lighting

The clouds were very dramatic, and I wanted to capture the movement of the water.

Equipment

Equipment is Canon 5D Mark ll; lens is 24-70mm, f 2.8. Tripod is Gitzo with Kirk ballhead.

Inspiration

I love sunsets especially over water. My goal was to capture the colors and the movement of the waves.

Editing

My post processing takes place in both Lightroom and Photoshop. At times a also use Nik Plugins in Photoshop.

In my camera bag

I carry at least 2 camera bodies, 24-70mm normal zoom lens; a 24mm tilt-shift lens; 70-200mm lens; warm polarizer and graduated neutral density filter.

Feedback

Be patient and slow down. I like to go back to the same places because the light is always different. And I do use a tripod for most of my landscape photography.
