The heartbreaking, wretched aspect of homelessness is something that I will tackle on occasion in this blog. An all-too-true fact-of-life on the streets of San Francisco. Black and white is my medium of choice. I rarely post photos in color, but sometimes an image summons me to use it’s ugly excesses to further illustrate a point. This woman was asleep-passed out on busy 24th St in the Mission neighborhood. Her right arm rested against the hubcap of a parked car. The dappled midday light through the overhead trees lit her meagre array of belongings splayed out (much like herself) in a tableau reminiscent of an old master painting.
