This photo was taken while we visiting at our friend’s cottage North of Montreal, Quebec.Time
Got up early, had breakfast and decided to grab the kayak and get out on the lake. The water was so calm and the mist hadn’t burnt of yet.Lighting
The sun was still low in the sky and highlighted the mist still rising off the lake. The mist was just thin enough to be able to make out some of the forest in the background.Equipment

The mist off the lake along with the branch breaking through the water created a special atmosphere of mystery.Editing
Minimal post processing was done. Bumping up the contract and blacks slightly.In my camera bag
My bag always has my Nikon D7000, a Nikon 1.4 50mm, 2.8 105 Macro, 3.5-5.6 16-85mm & a Sigma 4-5.6 10-20mm lens. Have now added a Nikon D850 as my main body.Feedback
Getting up early is always the best time to capture great light. Keep shooting and don’t be afraid to try new things.
