This was taken in a room in my house by a window, so I could get that natural lighting I wanted. I am self taught, so I just thought this place would be nice as it also has a plain background.Time
This was taken in the afternoon, maybe at around 5 so I again could get that natural lighting I wanted through the window right next to me.Lighting
I wanted this idea of a hard or diffused light, which I got through the natural lighting through the window right next to me.Equipment
Because I am the model in this photo, I had my camera on a tripod along with a timer so I could photograph myself and create the exact image in my head that I had.Inspiration
This was for a photography class, and we had to take a photo based on a song, so one of my favorite songs is "Car Radio" by Twenty One Pilots, so this photo is inspired by that song and the message that it conveys.Editing
I just edited some of the shadows along with dodging and burning it to get a more dramatic effect on the light. In my camera bag
I just usually have my Canon Rebel T3i and my tripod, and any extra lighting that I may need.Feedback
Lighting definitely plays such a huge role in this, and using the sun for natural lighting was definitely the way to go for this photo. I would say though as for the emotion captured and message conveyed, I would use myself as the model and photographer to get the exact emotion that I wanted, because only I really knew exactly what I wanted to capture because I could see it in my head. But of course I could have used another model and told them what to do while I photographed them, but the result may have been different, and it may not have turned out exactly like I wanted it to.
