Location

This was taken in my apartment in Northcliff, Johannesburg.

Time

This was taken in the evening.

Lighting

We just started playing around with photos around the bare light fixture in my bedroom. If I remember correctly, that was the only light we needed - no flash or any other lighting.

Equipment

Nikon D3100 base camera. Nikkor 55-200 lens. Nothing else.

Inspiration

As amateur photographers and artists, my ex (the subject) and I often just played around with the camera, experimenting with different ideas - often just on instinct and whatever popped up in our minds. We are not together anymore, but I still play - solo.

Just my base camera and my one lens. And a memory card. Looking to expand my equipment when I have saved up enough.

Feedback

The equipment and technical knowledge is important in photography, but what is more important is a keen eye that looks for beauty in everything, and an overactive imagination that loves to play.
