While photographing in Big Cypress National Preserve I was feeling uninspired. Due to high water levels, the wildlife was dispersed throughout the preserve and not as available for photography. I noticed this alligator in the water just off of Loop Road and observed that it had a nice reflection in the dark swamp water. I have a few of these photos, but I thought, I will take one more. After taking a couple of shots, I was ready to move on when I noticed movement. The alligator was opening its massive jaws and that prompted rapid fire photos on my 1Dx. I was pleased with this result.
