I was photographing wading birds at Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge in Florida this past fall when I saw this cormorant struggling with a large fish. I took a few photos and then waited. Suddenly, the tempo of the struggle increased and I started to photograph at high speeds. I did not know I had this shot until the struggle was over. I was excited to see the results.
