Behind The Lens

Location

At a Charity fund raising shoot @ Millwood Photography Studios, n/r Manchester, England

Time

14/05/2016 13.03 BST

Lighting

I think they were 2 Bowens umits with large Softboxes set @ 45 degress to model A pretty basic setup to be honest

Equipment

Canon 7D mark II Canon 24-105mm f4.0 L IS 2x Bowens studio flash with Softboxes.

Inspiration

I was struggling working out ideas for this particular model and I remembered that a friend had just sent me a picture that she was hoping to do if she every got time to do a shoot with me. So I thought I would give it a try.

Editing

I am slowly learning to use Photoshop, so I try to post process a lot just to see to see what I can achieve This image has been cropped, softened, de-saturated and a little bit of "cleaning up"

In my camera bag

Camera, 24-105, 580EX, spare batteries, leads & laptop

Feedback

Experimentation, I was lucky that the first time I tried this shot the third picture produced this image, but this has prompted me to start thinking more out of the box.
