Location
This photo was taken in my back yard.Time
Taken midday, late afternoon.Lighting
Sun was just right to capture this shot even though it was appx 120 ft away from the house.Equipment
This was actually taken with my Olympus SP-565UZ 4.6-92mm lens 10.0 megapixel Iens. I used my tripod (lol- need to invest in a new one- any ideas?) on it's lower level atop a night stand by the window. Sometimes I just take it without the tripod, freehand.Inspiration
Every year a doe and at least two fawns come through as well as a flock of turkeys from time to time. As soon as I see them, my camera bag is within arms reach. Sometimes I manage to get good shots and others not so good. I love nature and this shot was taken through a double pane glass window with a screen when I saw them. I have video's as well of them, one I call a "little buck-a-roo" 'cause he was very feisty with his sibling.until mom popped him on his rump.Editing
I use Photo Shop from time to time to get the deeper natural colors and set the lighting some either darker or lighter. In my camera bag
I've now upgraded to a Nikonn D5200, 55-300mm, 18-55mm, 40 mm micro, Nikon DX lens and a Neewer Speedlite.Feedback
Know your surroundings and timing of wildlife. I've experienced they are normally right on schedule. Mom and two fawns came through recently and I managed to capture some shots, however they were spooked by cars and on the run. Being an amateur photographer/grandma of 6, it's rewarding to spend what time I can with nature and share with them and you need to be able to take some time for yourself to enjoy doing what you love and follow your passion.
