Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Guimarães, Portugal.

Time

At midday.

Lighting

The light was very heavy on that day

Equipment

I used a Canon 1200D with a EFS 18-55mm lense and a EW-60C

Inspiration

I was passing by a small city but the people there were so alive and friendly that I had to stay and explore more of it. When the time struck I saw a eletric train with the portuguese flag, I didn't hesitate and tried to take as much photos as I could, my way. Then after all the things i learned there and all of my editing it hit me the perfect name for this photo "A Small City With A Big Inspiration". Therefore some of the colours where not removed from the photo, representing the hapiness of that small place.

Editing

Yes. I focused on the eletric train, then I put a b&w filter and restored the colour to the main object in this photo(eletric train) but in a way that would still combine with the b&w colours. After I drained the corners of the photo to focus even more on the main object and used a texture.

In my camera bag

I normally care a Canon 1200D, a EFS 18-55mm, a EFS 55-300mm, a cleaning kit, an EW-60C and a ET-60.

Feedback

To capture these kind of images I would recommend people to take as many photos as you can but calmly in a way that you're photo does not get blury, not centered, not straight, etc... this is a moving object so it's extra hard to take these kind of photos so follow those steps if you want to be sucefull. For a photographer it's very important to be prepared, always check the light so that when the time comes to take the photo you won't end up with an all black or white screen. belive me that's the worst, so always be prepared with you're camera and always check the light.
