Behind The Lens

Location

I shot this photo in downtown Munich, Germany near the Marienplatz on a very beautiful day.

Time

It was about 3 in the afternoon, as I walked up to this poor creature. I didn't have Tripod with me or a flash, but I actually tried to conceal my camera an shot from my hip. Since he was covered completely by his dirty blanket, I waited until he took a look in his cup and then shot the photo.

Lighting

No need to use any flash, because I was going to do some post-processing. The lighting was very good.

Equipment

Camera: Canon DIGITAL IXUS 860 IS / Aperture: f/5.8 / ISO: 200 / Shutter Speed: 1/100 Had this camera with me most of the time, because it is light and takes reasonably good photos.

Inspiration

This poor man was sitting on the side of the road, covering himself with an old dirty blanket. The sign says: Tie up your dog here!! Editing

I used Photoshop to convert the photo into B+W.

In my camera bag

Canon EOS 5D MK II with various lenses. I also use a Fuji XT-2 with various lenses.

Feedback

You have to be in the right place at the right time I guess. Patience, patience and more of it.
