Two Indonesian miners carry 70+kgs of sulphur on their back, up the side of a volcano. They endure extreme physical labor, inhale poison sulphur fumes and are at the mercy of an unpredictable live volcano. In Indonesia these men are paid well so the work is highly regarded, a full day of work one might take home about $21. Though this wage comes at a cost, the lifespan of these men average at around 40years due to respiratory health problems caused by the toxic smoke. These men work to provide for their family, to give them a better life and freedom from poverty.
