I accidentally stumbled on this creepy zoo in rural Japan, I paid to go in purely on the eeriness of it. It became quickly apparent that they were very unethical to the animals, which shocked and saddened me. Most of the animals were kept in overcrowded concrete pits with no natural habitat. The animals looked broken, soulless and hollow. This was one of the bear pit enclosures. Their thick dark fur a stark contrast to their concrete reality, wandering aimlessly like empty clones.
