Itook this photo during a hunting trip back in my Husband's hometown. His sister raises hunting dogs and inherited this Tennessee Treeing Feist, Miss April. She was very crazy but for some reason LOVED me. When she looked at me it was like she was telling me a story every time.Time
This photo was taken around lunch time, when we took all the dogs out to run around in the rabbit pen.Lighting

This was shot with my Nikon D5100 and my 55-300mm lens.Inspiration
I carry my camera with me whenever i can in hopes of capturing something to share with the world. This was on of those days! Miss April just has that face that speaks to the lens!Editing
Not much post processing in this photo. In Photoshop I lightened it a tad with curves and thats it!In my camera bag
If I'm hiking in the woods, beach, swamps or kayaking on the creeks and lakes I just bring my camera with the telephoto lens. But if i can bring my bag i make sure i have extra batteries, an external flash, smaller lens, tri-pod and some filters.Feedback
The best advice I can give for a shot like this is just trust your gut. If it speaks to you, capture that moment!
