Behind The Lens

Location

This piece of old farm equipment was in a field on the side of the road. I had passed by it several times and thought "I should get a pic of that". For some reason one day I decided to stop. Turned out to be on of my favs. Rural Nebraska in he panhandle area.

Time

It was the middle of the day.

Lighting

I try to use natural lighting. Different time of day will change the essence to fit your mood or desire.

Equipment

An digital camera with zoom lens but I didn't zoom on this. I squatted down trying to find just the right angle.

Inspiration

My gut said to me it would make a great photo.

Editing

I did nothing after the shot because I felt it was perfect as it is.

In my camera bag

I don't always carry a bag but when I do it's usually got my Nikon digital that can be manually set for different settings. Many really nice photos I have taken with my phone!

Feedback

I would tell others interested to always follow your gut. If you see something you think might make a good shot go for it. Don't be afraid to experiment with angles, shadow or time of day.
