This brown Anole was sunning on the log. She only moved to rearrange herself for a better angle. The skin around her eyes is a gorgeous turquoise green. She lives in the Beidler National Forest in South Carolina, a wonderland of forest and water inhabited by a wide variety of American wildlife, birds, plants and trees. This species of anole is the only American anole.
