Let's begin:

Tondo church is one of the oldest churches in the Philippines as it was consecrated in 1572 and completed in 1625 by the Augustinian priests during an era when the Roman Catholic faith was engraved, the Spanish occupation in the Philippines. The Spaniards' long stay explains Catholicism is the predominant way of faith in the archipelago.

In addition, a monument (down left) of an Italian pope, Leo XIII, is built in front of the church to honor him as the pope with the longest reign and remembering his efforts in promoting the rosary, hence, the nickname 'Rosary Pope'.
