Location
This serene photograph was taken in our pecan grove in Bastrop, Texas. It was a few days after the devastating Hurricane Harvey hit Texas. As I was driving through our flooded driveway the scenery made me stop and admire the beauty. It amazed me how beautiful nature can be even after turmoil.Time
This picture was taken at 9am. As I was leaving home I looked to the right to take note of the flooding in the orchard. I decided to take some pictures for my father to show him how bad the damage was. I used my cell phone and took multiple pictures. When I went through them I was amazed how beautiful this one had turned out.Lighting
This is natural light from the sun that created a beautiful reflection of the pecan trees in the floodwaters.Equipment
This picture was taken with a iPhone 6 Plus. No flash.Inspiration
I was looking for damage control on that morning. We have an orchard of 10,000 pecan trees, which we have an area that floods on a regular basis. I was taking photographs for my father to show him the aftermath of hurricane Henry. When I started taking pictures I was amazed at the reflection of the countries in the water and how the sun hit the orchard at a perfect angle. This is what inspired me to take this photograph.Editing
There was no post processing for this photograph. In my camera bag
Are used to use a canon EOS with a zoom lense, but on this day I only had my cell phone to capture the beauty of nature.Feedback
I believe the best pictures are captured when they are unintentional. Nature has a beauty of its own.
