Location
I took this photo in my neighbor's front lawnTime
This was just after the last sunlight disappeared over the horizon.Lighting
It was all fast disappearing natural light.Equipment
I was testing some newly purchased extension tubes with my Sony A6300 and Sony 50mm prime lens.Inspiration
I wanted to see the difference a macro lens configuration would make...the idea of seeing something obvious and ordinary but in an unusual and different perspective.Editing
Slightly....basically just crop and vignette. In my camera bag
I always take my Sony A6300, Sony 50mm prime, Sony 55-210mm zoom, extra batteries and a ND8 filter.Feedback
Lightning is key when shooting macro. Your DoF is really shallow and you want to get that sliver of focus just right. Blurring the background really helps bring your main subject in focus and allows the viewer to find the shot you were going for.
