Behind The Lens
Location
This was taken at Sauble Falls, Ontario while visiting relatives. As an Australian I was loving the comparison of foliage and forests between the countries. The tall green canopy above me was irresistible!Time
I think this was taken early afternoon, as we walked to the falls.Lighting
The Spring sunshine sparkling through the treetops was delightful.Equipment
I used a Panasonic LUMIX TZ80, 24mm, F7.1, 1/800. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
We were taking a lovely walk to the falls. The dappled sunlight filtering through the trees was delightful. I looked up and realised I had to try and capture the pattern the sky and trees made.Editing
This is straight out of the camera, no editing or post-processing was done.In my camera bag
It depends on where I am going and what I'm doing. I normally take my Nikon 5100 with the kit lens (18-55), the 35mm prime and the 70-300mm zoom. I will also throw in the LUMIX TZ80 which is compact (subtle and discrete for street photography). I'm still saving up for a decent lightweight tripod so most photos are handheld at the moment. If I know I'm going to do portraits I have a fold up reflector and if I'm photographing babies I have a crocheted flower that goes around the lens to make the camera less scary and something to get their attention.Feedback
Sometimes it pays just to look up!
