Around 5pm we were crossing a bridge over one of the small side canals and we saw this lone gondolier approaching us. The lighting was perfect & I knew I had a great shot.
It was only on review later that I realised that I had photographed what must be the only female gondolier in Venice. We were in Venice for 6 days and did not see another woman
