Location
I took this photo in my studio in Amsterdam as a part of my fermale's portrait project.Time
As I can remember it was midday. The lighting conditions was quite difficult because of the weather. We was going from full sunshine to cloudy sky just in the seconds.Lighting
Well, it was KISS style of lighting. Keep It Stupid Simple. Just window light and silver reflector to increase the contrast.Equipment
I used my old, good Nikon D700 with 70-200mm f2.8 lensInspiration
The biggest inspiration was Rya, lady who posed for this photo. It was amazing experience to work with so expressive and emotive person.Editing
I did the basic post-production in photoshop. Little bit of skin cleaning, color correction and adding contrast. In my camera bag
My body Nikon D700, two zoom lenses: Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 and 70-200mm f 2.8, one prime 50mm f1.4 also from Nikon. I always have with me two small, manual flashes and white/silver reflector, I just like to have light under control.Feedback
Keep it simple, use the window light (positioning model very close to window but not facing the light to avoid flat lighting). Good contact with the model is a key. Build the chemistry and look for emotions.
