This is a dog I recently adopted and he has come a long way through big changes and doing well. Such lovely eyes.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photograph was taken at home in my front room. As a self taught photographer I wanted to try capture my dog as I had never tried this before.

Time

This was taken in the afternoon after a long walk. Biscuit wasn't for giving up the ball and was peing petulant. I thought I would try capture this.

Lighting

Using the natural light behind me to enhance him naturally.

Equipment

To be honest I can't remember if I used my phone camera on manual setting or my fujifilm bridge camera.

Inspiration

How could you not want to capture this face, so cute. Seriously though I wanted to see if the camera could capture how the natural light was catching his eyes.

Editing

I am a bit of a purist if I can't get what I like in camara I don't move to processing. This is mainly an area I haven't learned yet, so au natural.

In my camera bag

My fujifilm bridge Camera HS30, my cordless remote and my tripod. I like to travel light and haven't transitioned to my Nikon d3200 as it means carrying multiple lenses.

Feedback

Don't get too tied up in setting up the perfect shot, sometimes you just capture it by chance. If you know your settings your good too go. I find the hystigram useful in gauging the balance of the shot. Equipment what affordable, got to start somewhere. Just enjoy
