I found it interesting that for an HDR Landscape contest so many of the photos were neither HDR nor Landscapes - still the event was rather enjoyable otherwise ~;0) VivaChas!

Location
The Internationally Recognized Opinionist JuJuni and I were exploring the Texas Hill Country and discovered this log-cabin outside Fredericksburg!Time
It was early afternoon and a Spring Storm loomed in the distance!Lighting
The sunlight was behind us in a half-and-half lighting situation. The sun lit-up the approaching storm clouds iridescently!Equipment
Because my photo-concept is to capture pixels with which I can create art - I like to use the camera recommended some years ago by Trey Ratcliff - the Canon G11! Some consider it a point and shoot camera and that's okay! The camera has lots of features and more importantly shoots in RAW format. That provides a pix packed with photo data for me to use in building my photographs.Inspiration
I would say what inspired me to make this photo was the Grander of the Moment and the Potential I saw unfolding before us!Editing
As an Artist I'm all about post-processing! Like the Old-Masters, I use every contemporary tool at my disposal to create images! My list of tools is unlimited! - I am not a Photo-Purist! - I am an Artist with a Camera! ~;0)In my camera bag
Spare batteries - lens shade - UV filter - a tripod and patience!Feedback
My advice for capturing moments like the one in my pix is - Get Up! - Get Out - And Make Pictures!!!
