Ocasionally I go on whale watching trips off the coast of Southern California the Channel Islands. I was in the Navy so I really love to go out to sea any way. I just got lucky and snapped my shutter in the nick of time to catch this gray whale. The weather was bad that day so no sun or blue sky and water. I still like the shot though.
