Location
This photo was taken at the Marysburgh Mariners Museum Park in South Marysburgh, Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada.Time
It was taken in the early afternoon, during the spring of 2016Lighting
The lighting was all natural as it was a bright spring day.Equipment
I used a Nikon D70s camera, no tripod or flash.Inspiration
My granddaughter had just been on the toddler swing minutes before I took this photo. We were getting reading to leave when I looked back and it just struck me as a sad beauty, the swings hanging perfectly still and quiet when just moments before there was so much laughter and excitement.Editing
This photo was originally taken in colour and altered it to black and white in PhotoshopIn my camera bag
I normally carry my Canon Rebel T3i, 18-55mm lens, 75-300mm lens, macro lens, wide angle lens and 50mm lens as well as a flash. In a separate bag I have my Nikon D70s 18-70mm lens and tripodFeedback
My advice is to try to capture what is beautiful to you. If something catches your eye and you really like it than take a picture of it. Find the point of view you like best, don't be afraid to lay on the ground and get dirty. There is so much beauty in the world and so many interesting things, photograph what you love.
